The ruling opinion at present is that there is no money to be made in conservation, that it is a noble calling that will never make a person rich. This may be true, but why should it be? Conservationists should never be seen as the poor country relatives on the other side of the railway tracks. Nature conservation should be profitable; otherwise it will always take a back seat to destructive industries.
